Ancestors of Yesteryear

Ancestors of Yesteryear, led by Roma Miller, provides professional genealogy and family-history research for people who want to discover, document and preserve their family's story.

Tracing your ancestry can involve piecing together information from historical records, comparing evidence and working out how different people and events connect. Ancestors of Yesteryear uses a careful, evidence-based research approach, with attention to analysis and documentation so that findings are supported by the available records.

Research interests include French and Italian genealogy, as well as family-history research relating to the Great Lakes region of the United States, including Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. Services are delivered remotely across mainland France, making support accessible wherever clients are based.

Alongside research projects, Roma offers consultations and educational resources for people who want to develop their own family-history skills. Whether you are beginning to investigate your family tree, trying to understand a particular branch of your ancestry or looking to preserve discoveries for future generations, Ancestors of Yesteryear can help you approach the journey with structure, care and well-documented evidence.
